George Frank


George Frank was born November 18, 1925 and departed this life and entered eternal rest surrounded by family February 2, 2013.

He began his teaching career at Port Jervis High School in 1953.  He was past president of the New York Teachers Association.  He worked with Pike County Conservation for over 30 years.  He was past president of Matamoras Rod and Gun Club.  He belonged to the Matamoras United Methodist Church.  George served in the Army Air Corps and Air Force in the Korean War; honorably discharged.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 64 years, Lois (Lansing) Frank of Matamoras; daughters:  Diann Higgins (Ray), Sandra Jones (Eric); sons: Glenn Frank (Laura), Robert Frank (Pam); grandchildren: Marc, Stacie, Timothy, Nicholas, Braden; great-grand children: Harlen, Justin, Kaitlyn, Madisen; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Reed and two nephews: William and David Frank.

A Memorial  Service will be held Saturday, June 8th, at 1:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Matamoras.
